Lisa Sinibaldi

Lisa is the founder and owner of Sinibaldi Music. She has been teaching and performing in the Hampton Roads area for more than 20 years. Since earning her Bachelor of Music from Old Dominion University, she has taught all levels of band, chorus, and general music in schools, as well as private and group lessons. Lisa served 8 years in the 380th Army Reserve Band where she performed regularly on woodwinds and as a vocal soloist. She has performed in Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and Madison Square Garden with the ODU Wind Ensemble and Pep Band. When Lisa is not teaching lessons, find her leading worship at Great Bridge UMC or teaching music to little ones at Broad Bay Manor School.

John Presto

Piano, Low Brass, Strings

John Presto started studying music with piano lessons at the age of 5.  He later joined his middle school band playing the alto sax.  In high school, he was selected to District Band in 1991, earning 2nd tenor sax.  He was also selected to perform with the Armed Forces Eastern Band Clinic under the baton of composer James Barnes. For 3 summers, he studied jazz with such notable instructors as Dr. Steven Ambrose and Roy Muth.  Also in attendance at those summer jazz camps were pop stars Pharell Williams and Chad Hugo.

In the Fall of 1991, he studied music at East Carolina University on a partial scholarship majoring in music performance.  From 1997-2011, he mostly served with the United States Navy Band with 7 of those years overseas in Naples, Italy under Commander 6th Fleet (now Commander Naval Forces Europe). Upon leaving the Navy, he decided to finish his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Old Dominion University in Music Education.

Michael Malinowski

Michael Malinowski is a freelance drummer and percussionist who has performed with artists such as Blue Man Group and Sheila E. He has had the privilege of performing at some of the biggest venues in Los Angeles, including the Hollywood Bowl, Ford Amphitheatre, and Microsoft Theater. Michael graduated from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, at California State University, Long Beach, with a degree in Percussion Performance. There, he studied classical, jazz, and world music.

Michael’s passion for music, whether performing or educating, is instantly apparent upon meeting him. Michael recently moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he is focused on playing, teaching, and recording locally, as well as touring nationally.

Steve Jones

Steve Jones found his calling early in life. After graduating Cox High School in 1990, Steve left for the entertainment capitol of the USA, Las Vegas, where he began a two-year stint with a rock band. Upon returning to Virginia Beach in 1992, Steve began teaching at area music stores and over the last 33 years has built up a solid reputation as a qualified teacher inspiring thousands of students in the local community.

Steve toured for 5 years with a KISS tribute band, played at the Norva 5 times with Americana and Rock bands and has played, recorded, and produced 3 full length albums with a progressive rock band and 2 albums with award winning country music artist Russell Lynch.

Aaron Dunn

Award winning and internationally syndicated composer, multi-instrumentalist and mix engineer Aaron Dunn has worked in music for the better part of 20 years. Aaron enjoys working with musicians and technicians, always aiming to draw the best from every musical situation, and training others to do likewise. He loves helping each musician in whatever way he can, whether by teaching an instrument, running their sound, or producing recordings all can be proud of. He is also the composer of multiple orchestral albums. He is well versed in bass, guitar, cello, keyboards and horn.

Outside of work, Aaron enjoys an active lifestyle, maintaining an interest in ‘clean eating’ and sport in general. Aaron resides in Virginia Beach with his wife Tricia and Anatolian Shepherd Dog named Huan.

Kevin Fafard

Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Rock School

Kevin Fafard is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and guitar instructor with nearly 20 years of performance experience, including touring across 46 U.S. states and internationally. He has been teaching guitar since 2016 to students ages 5–80, covering styles from the 1960s to today with a focus on ’70s and ’80s rock, as well as blues, funk, Motown, disco, pop, metal, folk, and punk.

Outside of teaching and performing, he builds guitars, modifies gear, and spends time with his chihuahua, Onion.
